Native American Content Resource Kit


Summary

This resource kit collects Practical Guidance and Lexis resources, including secondary materials, that address laws and regulations, including case law, that apply to Native Americans. Native Americans are the indigenous peoples of the mainland United States. Often, the indigenous people of Hawaii, Alaska, and U.S. territories are known by other terms. As of March 24, 2023, 574 Indian tribes were legally recognized by the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), with more than 200 being located in the state of Alaska. See 88 Fed.
